The rear clip assembly means the entire rear structural portion of a vehicle designed and intended to be located behind the rear seat of the vehicle. The rear clip is the body part comprised of the left and right quarter’s panels, the rear fascia and the truck lid, as opposed to the front clip which are the front fenders, hood and front fascia.
A rear clip assembly is the section of the frame that all the rear suspension and rear differential hangs on. It starts just ahead of the rear wheels. Most cars built 3 sections. The centre is basically a square with a front and rear clip attached.
