Big Mouth Direct LLC (“BMD”) offers a thirty (30) day Limited Warranty upon a sale and covers parts that were delivered incorrectly (“Warranty”). All returns must be received within thirty (30) days of the original shipment delivery date. Parts returned after the Warranty period will not be eligible for refund or replacement of the part. The Warranty covers the replacement cost of the part only. Shipping or labor charges are not covered.
If a Big Mouth Direct (“BMD”) representative deems a part defective or incorrect, BMD will first attempt to replace the part. If a replacement cannot be shipped within ten (10) business days, BMD will issue a refund for the sale amount of the part, once the part has been returned and received by BMD in its original condition as when it was shipped to the customer. The original and return shipping costs will not be reimbursed. When contacting BMD please provide a detailed explanation in writing as to why the part is being returned.
In the event a replacement order or reorder is made prior to the return of the first part, BMD will require payment for the second part and refund the initial order upon return.
In the event a part is returned that does not fit the requirements listed in this Warranty, BMD reserves the right to charge customer a 25% restocking fee and withhold shipping amounts in the refund.
BMD shall not be responsible for items delivered to the address according to the tracking information which was provided by the customer at the time of sale but not received or accepted by the customer.
BMD advises its customers to do the necessary research and verify the exact part needed with an expert mechanic or body shop prior to ordering it from BMD. BMD will ship the parts listed on the invoice. BMD does not sell parts for “testing purposes only” and will not offer return or refund on parts that are ordered incorrectly. The number of miles indicated on parts are approximate and are not guaranteed.
Customer must obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) from BMD before return shipping any parts to BMD. Packaging and the cost of return shipping to BMD is the customer’s responsibility. When returning parts to BMD, a valid tracking number should be provided to BMD by customer.
The following are some of the exceptions that will either void or are exceptions to the Warranty:
Engines – Termed as complete assemblies including oil pan, exhaust and intake manifolds, timing belts and covers, carburetor or fuel injection. BMD’s Warranty is only for the engine long block. Gaskets, seals, manifolds, hoses, oil pan, timing belts and covers, fuel injection or carburetor, are not covered under Warranty. All other accessories such as but not limited to starters, air compressors, turbos, alternator, power steering pumps, optical distributors or electrical water pumps are usually not included nor under the Warranty in regards to the sale and/or Warranty of an engine.
If these parts listed in the prior paragraph are purchased separately, they will be under the Warranty. Other items that may need to be replaced are the water pump, distributor cap, spark plugs and wires and possibly timing chain at BMD’s discretion. Customer may not hold BMD liable for the parts listed as they are considered high-wear parts. Orders of engine short or long “block only” are guaranteed to be rebuildable only.
Transmissions – Transmissions are guaranteed to shift properly with good gears and bearings. Note that it is important to thoroughly clean all the components of the transmission including the oil pan prior to assembly. Also change the oil and replace the filter in automatic transmissions. It is also important to replace all seals and gaskets prior to installation, along with running a flush and flow test on the cooler and lines. It is also advisable to engage the torque converter in the front pump. For manual transmissions, it is important to install a new clutch, pressure plate, and slave cylinder. The fly wheel must also be turned prior to installation. Then fill and check the fluid to ensure it is at a proper level.
Carburetors: BMD only guarantees that carburetors can be rebuilt.
Seals: Seals in turbos are not guaranteed to be perfect. These seals may need replacing immediately or during the warranty period.
Instrument and Speedometer Clusters: Mileage is not guaranteed. For certain vehicles such as but not limited to BMW, Mercedes, Cadillac, Lexus, and Audi, the customer will have to get the unit reprogrammed at a dealership. BMD will not authorize or accept a return or refund any units unless the customer provides written documentation from an authorized dealer stating that the part was reprogrammed and still failed to function properly.
Rotors: Rotors will be guaranteed against cracks or non-machinable surface damage. Normal wear of rotors can leave them slightly warped, so they are only guaranteed to be machinable. Cylinder heads: The rings and valves on cylinder heads may need to be re-machined and are not guaranteed to from being warped or cracked.
Electrical items: Electrical parts such as body control modules, transmission modules, engine computers and transfer case are only guaranteed to have the correct manufacturer part number. Again, these parts are not sold for testing purposes. All electrical parts are sold only with a replacement warranty, and up to one (1) replacement will be sent in order to correct the sale of a non- working module. Modules may require a reset by the dealer, and in the event that a reset occurs the part cannot be returned until it has been verified by the dealership that the part in question has been reset properly. Any electrical parts that have been modified in any way will not be eligible for a refund. Module ID or part number should be provided by the customer at the time of ordering it.
Control arms: Any rubber bushings or non-metal parts attached to the control arms are not guaranteed, but the control arms are guaranteed to be true and straight. Bushings and ball joints are not guaranteed on parts purchased.
Doors: Doors are considered complete assemblies. BMD only guarantees the door shell which is not guaranteed to come with accessories such as windows, window regulators, hinges, handles or interior panels.
Other body parts: Body parts such as fenders, bumpers, hoods, quarter panels and header panels are not guaranteed to come with hinges, hood ornaments, latches, headlights, trim or grilles.Colors: Customers may request specific colors for body parts but a color match is never guaranteed. Big Mouth Direct recommends that body parts should be repainted upon delivery to match your vehicle. We do not offer returns on parts that do not match the color of your vehicle.
